Workshop 1: A Review of Medicaid Eligibility in Light of the State's Requirement to Conduct Eligibility Redeterminations of Medicaid Recipients in the Coming Months
DESCRIPTION
Since March of 2020, NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid has followed special rules related to the federal COVID-19 Public Health Emergency. These rules have allowed most NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid members to keep their health coverage, even if they no longer qualified. However, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) has recently directed all states to once again conduct NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid eligibility redeterminations of all recipients to assess whether they still qualify for these benefits. In light of this development, this workshop will review the criteria to qualify for and maintain NJ FamilyCare/Medicaid.
