Holocaust Education
Many middle and high school teachers are required to teach the Holocaust to their students and don’t know where to begin. Some may even find the subject matter intimidating. With its program, Foundations of Teaching the Holocaust, the New Jersey State Bar Foundation provides guidance on tackling this sensitive topic utilizing resources from Echoes and Reflections, Facing History and Ourselves, the USC Shoah Foundation, and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum.
Each educator who attends the Foundation’s program will be introduced to a myriad of resources and lesson plans that are designed to assist with teacher planning and implementation.
Trainings are free for New Jersey Educators.
Foundations of Teaching the Holocaust for middle and high school educators is scheduled throughout the year. Visit our Events Page for a schedule of upcoming trainings and to register. If a training is full, click HERE to be put on the waiting list.
