The National Conference of Bar Foundations (NCBF) recently award the New Jersey State Bar Foundation the 2024 Partnership for Success Award for an informative, interactive webcast entitled Sexting, Cyberbullying and Media Manipulation and Their Dangerous Consequences.
The webcast was presented in partnership with the New Jersey State Bar Association, and in cooperation with other organizations in New Jersey, including the NJ Coalition for Bullying Awareness and Prevention and members of the Bar Association who contributed their knowledge and expertise in the areas of the law surrounding cyberbullying and media manipulation, cyber security, and data privacy.
From the NCBF: The New Jersey State Bar Foundation’s initiatives align with the NCBF guiding principles, having a substantial impact on the justice system and the community at large. The webcast on sexting, cyberbullying, and media manipulation provided valuable education that attendees could immediately use in their interactions with students and children. Comments from attendees highlighted the importance of this training for professional development in school districts and the need for mandatory education for parents on these critical topics.
NJSBF’s commitment to fostering an increased awareness of the law through education is evident in this program. It engaged community partners, including members of the Bar Association, cybersecurity experts, and educational leaders, to develop comprehensive content and ensure the webcast’s success.
