The New Jersey State Bar Foundation will host an Artists’ Opening Reception on Thursday, September 28, 2017 in honor of its Sixth Annual Art Show. In conjunction with the Foundation’s 2017 Art Show, the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (NJICLE), in cooperation with the New Jersey State Bar Association Entertainment Arts & Sports Law Section, will host its 4th Annual Art Law Symposium—Selected Legal Issues in the Art World.

The symposium will be held at the New Jersey Law Center from 3 to 6 p.m. at the New Jersey Law Center. The Opening Reception for the Foundation’s Art Show will be held immediately following the symposium. This cutting-edge symposium will feature a review of protections afforded artists presented by an intellectual property attorney, the potential pitfalls in buying and selling art, as well as trust and estate issues concerning artists and collectors. In addition, an agent in the FBI’s Art Crime Team will speak about the HEAR Act and developments in Nazi looted art.

Registration for the Art Law Symposium is through NJICLE. For information on registration fees or to register, click here.
